I am always so happy when Easter arrives. Not because of the violent habits that come with it here. But because of the joy of rebirth, new beginning, spring of new life!

desperate need of creation

i am largening my death collection. a alaso started little strip and i really enjoy it. i hope to publish it soon.

well, sometimes it's so desperately hard to get into drawings. although i know not many people read my blog and although i know i am not really thorough in posting schedule this small internet space is sometimes the only way that keeps me in doing something free and imaginatory.

outside is quite dark and light in my stove is burning. well these are the perfect conditions for drawing something like this.

i bought new camera the other day on flea market. it's FED 5 and i heard all the ebst about it.

cannot wait to see my first shots alive.

therapy

this is one type of therapy i found out.
my anxieties will not disapear, but at least i can invite them to join my creative process.
and we are spending nice days. me and my anxiety of death.

i hope our relationship will get better and better. i don't want to die some day and find myself in bad relations with pale rider.

as i am in vilnius for my internship it was necessary to vsit sea. and especialy Kuršiu nerija. that special and amazing place.

I voted today.
I always feel like proud citizen filed up and bursting with patriotism when I vote.
I walked out of election room two times taller then I came in.

"i don't want to do anything today" "it's the same every day"

i didn't make myself to draw in last few weeks. i make myself every day to go back to my comic but i don't have any pation to work and i lack the needed peace. but yesterday i took a pen and brush in my hand finaly. after half an hour i've run to take picture of what i did. and so it ended just with these three figures.

sadly i don't have better camera to picture them in their real beauty.

i drew this some weeks back. it proofs i don't practise enough, otherwise i would be able to catch this mysteriously surprised look on this mans face.

storytime / čas na příběh

Sněhulákův příběh

O vánočních prázdninách napadla hromada sněhu. Děti postavili sněhuláka a celý týden dávaly pozor, aby se mu nic ošklivého nestalo. Pes sněhuláka počůral a děti žlutou skvrnu přikryly novou vrstvou sněhu. Zimní ptáci sněhuláka poklovali a děti rány pčelivě zacelily. Po Novém Roce se oteplilo a když šli děti prvně po prázdninách do školy, sněhulák se zmenšil. Každým dnem byl sněhulák menší a menší. Děti chodily do školy a ze školy a pozorovaly, jak sněhuláka ubývá. Nakonec zbyla na chodníku před domem jenom malá smutná hromádka špinavého sněhu.

O dva týdny později se počasí umoudřilo. Napadla hromada sněhu a děti postavily sněhuláka jen pár kroků od místa, kde ještě před dvěma dny ležela smutná hromádka špinavého sněhu.

Snowman Story

During christmas holidays lots of snow felt down. Children did build a snowman and watch him hole week so anything bad would happen to him. Dog pee on him and children covered the yellow spot with bright new layer of snow. Winter birds dig the snowman with their claws and childern carefuly covered teh holes. Weather changed after New Year and when childern went to school after holidays, the snowman schrinked. Every day the snowman get smaller and smaller. Children went to school and back and watched snowman wane slacken. At the end there was a little sad hill of dirty snow lying on the sidewalk.

Two weeks later weather get reasonable. Lots of snow felt down and children bild a snowman just few steps where two days ago layed little sad hill of dirty snow.

inspiration ways / cesty inspirace

Upřímně doufám, že takhle přichází inspirace. Poslední dobou se svým strážným andělem úzce spolupracuji na celém komixovém seriálu o Ogistovu obrácení. Doufejme, že nám tahle plodná spolupráce vydrží. Zatím se zdáme být dobrým týmem a společně děláme skutečně velké pokroky.

I sincerely hope this is the way inspiration comes. Lately I started closely work with my guardian angel on the comc series of Ogist's conversion. Let's hope this cooperation will last. We seem to be good team and together we make really good progress.

čím na nový komix / comic tools

Tento týden jsem se pustila do přípravy nového komixu pro časopis Tarsicius. Komix má křesťanský námět, ale je zasazený do budoucnosti, takže se potýkám se science fiction. Ale o mých útrapách v této oblasti až někdy později.

I started new comic for Tarsicius magazine this week. It has christian plot, but it is all set in future, so I fight with science fiction now. But more about that next time.



A protože jsem kdesy četla, že čím lepší nástroje kreslíř používá, tím lepší je i jeho práce, vydala jsem se na povánoční nákupy s posledním zbytečkem peněz a nakoupila dva skvělé štětce značky Da Vinci velikosti 0 a 2 a Windsor And Newton tuž, která je pětkrát dražší než klasická tuž od koh-i-nooru, ale drží a nezešedne a kresba s ním je prostě jedna radost. Za cenné rady v tomto ohledu děkuji mistru Thompsonovi. Opět se ukázal neocenitelným rádcem a učitelem.

Jsem nadšená a přestože se ještě stále potýkám s tvůrčí přípravou (skycování, výzkum...) a k samotné kresbě mám hodně daleko, baví mě to jako nic na světě.

Because I read somewhere that the better tools you use, the better are your drawings, I went for after-Christmas shopping. I took the very last of my money and bought two brushes Da Vinci size 0 and 2 and Windsor and Newton Indian ink that is five times more expensive then my traditional Koh-i-noor Indian Ink, but don't get grey and drawing with it is just a joy. For precious advices in that metter I thank to mister Thompson who apeared to be again great advizor and teacher.

I am amazed and though I still fight with creative preparation (scatches and research...) and it's still qite long way to actually draw, I enjoy tgis as anything in the world!
